Bleak House Guide February | London Bridge to Limehouse

February's walk is a meandering river stroll along the Pool of London. World famous landmarks give way to cobbled streets lined with beautiful wharves, steep flights of steps leading down to shingled river beaches and ancient pubs dating from a time when London was the epicentre of maritime trade. Ghoulish stories of executions, pirates, and smugglers gives this walk a haunting feel and you can feel the history oozing out of ever brick.

The walk begins at London Bridge and crosses over the magnificent Tower Bridge. From here the walk leads away from the crowds to this quiet, gentle part of London. The walk is great for a weekend daytime where you can duck into any of the wonderful old pubs to warm up with a roast dinner along the way.
