The Best Dog-friendly restaurants in London
Sometimes you just don't want to leave your dog at home when you go out to eat. Here are our favourite dog-friendly restaurants in London that serve great food, have lovely interiors and good service. They will make your dogs feel as welcome as you are.
We have tried and tested all of these restaurants and we visit them all on a regular basis. It's great to have a list of places up your sleeve where your dog can hang out with you rather than having to go on adventures without him.
We are always looking for new places so if you know of any we should try, just leave a comment below or connect with us on instagram where we regularly share tips for living a dog-friendly London life.
THE BEST DOG-FRIENDLY RESTAURANTS IN LONDON
Liberty of London | Soho
If your dog is small enough to walk under the famous Liberty stick, you can head to the second floor cafe for London’s best toasted tea cake and excellent coffee. Your dog will have such a fuss made of him and will love it.
Petersham Nurseries | Richmond
Walking along the Thames from Richmond to Petersham Nurseries is one of the best days out London has to offer. Eat at the teashop or, if budget and reservations permit, the utterly fabulous restaurant.
Colbert | Sloane Square
Colbert feels like it's been there for a hundred years and it is very glamorous place to watch the world go by. It's fun to watch your dog receive the same respectful and attentive service as you.
Fernandez And Wells | Various Locations
There are a few of these around London and they are a great pitstop for coffee or lunch. The cured meats and cheese are delicious and make perfect treats for dogs and owners alike.
Andrew Edmunds | Soho
Dark, candlelit and impossibly romantic, this Soho institution wholly deserves its excellent reputation and it's great to have somewhere so central up one's sleeve. Ask for a table upstairs.
Greenberry Cafe | Primrose Hill
Buzzy and vibrant for weekend brunch, great for morning coffee and romantic and twinkly in the evening, this is easily our most-visited restaurant in London. Try the baked pancakes, they are incredible. Treats on tap for all well-behaved dogs.
L’Absinthe | Primrose Hill
Proper French food with excellent wine and a convivial welcome. Your dog will be spoken to in French and referred to as ‘le chien’ so make sure he brushes up on his language skills.
Market | Camden Parkway
One of the nicest restaurants in Camden. The food is fresh, healthy and delicious. We love this relaxed, friendly and great place at any time of the day.
Shake Shack | Covent Garden
Not only do Shake Shack do some of London's best burgers, they are dog-friendly too. They even have a custardy Pawchini pudding on the menu made especially for your dog.
