Conker London: Chiswick Riverside Walk
CONKER LONDON: NOVEMBER
Conker London is a series of 12 free London walks, one for each month of the year. These seasonal walks are designed to help you get to know your city a little better. The walks weave through the prettier, quieter and more interesting streets, far away from the busy main thoroughfares. The walks are hand drawn and come with full instructions.
NOVEMBER: CHISWICK RIVERSIDE
November's Bleak House Guide is an autumnal walk along a pretty stretch of the Thames at Chiswick. The riverside path takes you past elegant Georgian buildings with glorious riverside views, past sweet cottages with November roses and seven historical riverside pubs, including the Blue Anchor which featured in the Gwyneth Paltrow film 'Sliding Doors'.
The walk starts at Kew Bridge train station but you could walk from Gunnersbury overground station if you prefer. The walk is perfect for a Sunday afternoon when you can dive into any one of the cosy pubs to warm up with a drink in front of the fire.
